Brian H. Herschfus is a Vice-President and shareholder of Wood, Kull, Herschfus, Obee & Kull, P.C., practicing business litigation, civil and criminal trial practice and employment law. Mr. Herschfus joined Wood and Wood, P.C., the predecessor to Wood, Kull, in 1987 and became Vice-President and shareholder in 1990. Mr. Herschfus received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1988 and, while attending law school, studied international law in London, England, at Regents College.
Mr. Herschfus has litigated a wide range of business and commercial disputes in diverse areas, including real property disputes, contract disputes and general corporate litigation with particular concentration on employment law. Mr. Herschfus has litigated employment-related and professional licensing cases in favor of both plaintiffs and defendants and has defended claims before various administrative bodies.
Mr. Herschfus is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association and Southfield Bar Association. Mr. Herschfus has also been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Herschfus is the former Vice-Chairman of the Southfield Planning Commission and has lectured and given forums on various real estate-related issues to sellers and buyers.
