David J. Wood is the President and a shareholder of Wood, Kull, Herschfus, Obee & Kull, P.C. Mr. Wood, together with his brother, William A. Wood, Jr., founded Wood and Wood, P.C., the predecessor to Wood-Kull. Mr. Wood has managed the firm since its inception and operates the firm administratively on a day-to-day basis. Mr. Wood concentrates his practice in real estate and business transactions, estate planning, probate and business acquisitions. Mr. Wood graduated with distinction from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1951 and was a member of the Honors Golden Key Society. Mr. Wood received his Juris Doctorate, with distinction, from Wayne State University School of Law in 1956.
Mr. Wood, a former officer in the United States Coast Guard, is the legal counsel of the Western Wayne-Oakland Board of Realtors®. He has drafted and aided in the drafting of real estate forms used throughout the State of Michigan for real estate transactions. Mr. Wood has lectured and taught numerous courses for real estate salespersons and for the general public on issues of real estate. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Michigan Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association. Mr. Wood has been admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Michigan, including the State of Michigan Supreme Court and has also been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan as well as the United States Supreme Court.
