Nicole J. LaVake is an associate at Wood, Kull, Herschfus, Obee & Kull. Ms. LaVake graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University with a major in Business Administration Pre-Law and concentrations in political science and economics. She received her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University. During law school, Ms. LaVake worked as a student attorney at the Free Legal Aid Clinic and as a law clerk for a private law firm in the Metro-Detroit area. She was also a member of Moot Court, and completed a Federal Judicial Internship with Judge Robert Cleland. While attending law school, Ms. LaVake wrote an article, that was published in the REO MAC magazine, which analyzed new legislation and the potential affects on mortgage lenders and servicers.
Ms. LaVake is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Her practice primarily focuses on Real Estate Litigation and representation of real estate professionals and their clients in a variety of real estate disputes. Her practice also includes landlord/tenant, contract, and tort matters.
Ms. LaVake is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association, and the Michigan State University Alumni Association.
