John Obee Receives Ford Freedom Award 2013

The 15th Annual Ford Freedom Awards were presented this May by Ford Motor Company and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American Histroy. The Ford Freedom Award program celebrates and pays tribute to the lives and legacies of African Americans who have made tremendous contributions to our nation and the world. The 2013 Ford Freedom Award program celebrated Quiet Heroes – individuals who with great humility, and without fanfare, have worked for the cause of African-American advancement. Congratulations to John Obee for his nomination and selection for receipt of this presitgious award.
