$8 Million jury verdict withstands Supreme Court challenge

The Michigan Supreme Court declined to hear the appeal of a tier two auto parts supplier, ending a 5 year battle by a firm client for damages and lost profits originating in the Wayne County Circuit Court. Although our client was originally sued as a Defendant, a counterclaim was immediately filed. Partner Brian H. Herschfus conducted the lengthy jury trial. Our client received over $8 Million on its counterclaim, the Plaintiff receiving nothing on its claims. The jury verdict was affirmed by the Michigan Court of Appeals in the spring of 2010. The recent action of the Supreme Court finalized the $8 Million jury verdict in our client’s favor.
