John A. Obee Retirement Announcement
Dear clients, friends and colleagues:
After 39 years serving the legal community and 15 years as a partner at Wood, Kull, Herschfus, Obee & Kull, P.C., John Obee has announced that he will be retiring from private legal practice. Beginning March 1, 2017, John will no longer be active full-time at Wood Kull. (Plans for an April retirement celebration are in the works. Invitation and details to follow soon.)
But do not worry, John will not be bored. In May of this year (2017), John will be inducted into the National Academy of Arbitrators (NAA). As part of this honor, John will continue to serve the community as a labor arbitrator. In addition, John will remain of counsel at the firm for many years to come. In this new role, John will provide counsel to the attorneys and partners at the firm, who will continue to have access to his knowledge and expertise in Realtor® ethics and defense, real estate litigation, fair housing and real estate transactions.
There will be no lapse in service to John’s clients, friends and colleagues. Clients with pending matters have already been paired with a Wood Kull attorney to handle their concerns and issues in John’s place. So, be assured, the firm’s attorneys remain available to assist you, with John’s advice and counsel. David Wood, legal counsel for the Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors®, remains the senior partner at Wood Kull with over 50 years of experience in Realtor® ethics, real estate transactions and litigation. Many of you already know attorneys and partners Robert Kull rjk@woodkull.com (also a licensed broker for 19 years) and Katherine Shensky kws@woodkull.com. Both of them have worked closely with John and his clients in countless matters throughout the years.
